The second day of Hope in Focus was a blast! And it looked quite a bit different than the first day. I only had one participant yesterday, which ended up working very well! It was great to be able to connect with just one student and teach them individually based on their specific needs. After going through the lesson plan, we were able to roam around the hospital to take photos and were able to spend more time outside in the garden. The student was really glad to be able to be outside and said they enjoyed taking photos. And they turned out great!
I was worried about only having one student that day. Would they still have fun? Would I be “cool” enough to teach this kid and spend 3 hours with them? Would they get bored? The good news is: it was SO fun! We were able to start conversations with people around the hospital and even ate some snacks. All in all, it was a great day.
I’m excited for yet another day of Hope in Focus.
These are all photos my students took!
Happy Thursday, dear friends.
