Yesterday the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Leymah Gbowee came to my campus to speak and have dinner with us. Leymah is a Liberian peace activist responsible for leading a women’s peace movement that helped bring an end to the Second Liberian Civil War. She is a truly, truly amazing woman. And VERY sassy. It was a joy to have her at Concordia.
It has been rainy and cold here lately; winter is soon coming. It’s just around the corner. I also have some exciting CF-related news that I will be sharing next week.
Have a lovely Friday, friends, and stay warm!

the straws together are not easily broken.””- Leymah Gbowee
